The main engine of our technology platforms is the proprietary FASTER algorithm. It is based on the Dead End Elimination algorithm, which was also discovered by the founders of the company (Nature, 1992). FASTER has the following advantages compared to the Dead End Elimination method:

• allows for full ranking of solutions whereas the Dead End Elimination only supplies the best result
• is about 1000 times faster, thereby allowing to run the huge amount of calculations necessary for the technology platforms
